Scheduling for our November 2025 Parent Teacher Conferences has begun. Please use the following link to begin the scheduling process:

New: Conferences on Tuesday, November 24th and Tuesday, November 25th will be both in person and virtual. Please select your Meeting Type of In-Person or Video Conference when registering for conferences.
Please note that you may now both register for a conference and attend a virtual conference (created by a BSD staff member) with any email address; it does not need to be a Google email address. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions link below for more information related to virtual conferences using Google Meet.

Welcome Back to IAA!
Hello IAA Families!
We are so excited to welcome the IAA community back to our school, both literally and figuratively! It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to be back at IAA at H.O. Wheeler, but we think all of the changes are worth the wait.
As you prepare your child(ren) to return to school, here are some important things to keep in mind!
- Classroom assignments went out earlier the week of 8/11-17. If you have not received them, check your email, or click here to go to PowerSchool. If you have further issues, please reach out to Administrative Assistant Jarret Greene at jgreene@bsdvt.org.
- The First Day of School is Wednesday, August 27th. Kindergarten will attend for a half day, being dismissed at 11:30am. Grades 1-5 will be dismissed at the normal Wednesday early dismissal time of 1:50pm.
- There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the renovated IAA building on Tuesday, August 26th at 11:30am, followed by a casual Back to School Meet-n-Greet.
- PreK at IAA does not begin until Monday, September 2nd.

Kindergarten Meet and Greet: May 12th
Hello everyone!
Kindergarten Orientation for next years’ class will be on May 12th, 2025, at the Sarah Holbrook Community Center / IAA South. There are three times you can choose from for your visit :
- 12:00 to 12:30 PM
- 1:00 to 1:30 PM
- 2:00 to 2:30 PM
Please select the time that works best for you and either let us know by calling (802) 864-8475, or filling out the Google Form linked here.

March Parent-Teacher Conference Sign-ups
Scheduling for our March 2025 Parent Teacher Conferences will begin on February 7th. Please use the following link to begin the scheduling process:

Conferences on Tuesday, March 4th and Wednesday, March 5th will be in person unless a virtual conference is requested. Please use the Special Request feature after selecting a time to indicate the need for a virtual conference.

Title I Meeting Will Be Held 12/10
The annual Title I meeting will be held on 12/10, following the PTO Meeting that evening. Topics to be discussed include:
- Explanation of the school’s participation in Title I as a Schoolwide program school
- Information about the requirements under Title I
- The rights of parents to be involved
- Development of the District and school-level parent and family engagement policies
- Development of the School-Parent Compact
- Opportunities for parents to attend regular meetings to participate, as appropriate, in decisions relating to the education of their children

Registration for March Parent-Teacher Conferences is Now Open

Like in years past, the conferences on Thursday (3/21) will all be in-person. Unlike in years past, the conferences on Friday (3/22) can be either virtual or in-person, based on preference. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions link below for more information related to virtual conferences using Google Meet. If you need to request an alternate conference date or method of participation, please indicate that using the Special Request Feature in PTC Fast when you sign up for your conference or contact your child’s teacher directly.
Google Meet for Education requires that its users joining conference sessions either have a personal gmail or district gmail address. This is a Google Meet security feature.

Kindergarten Registration For Next School Year is Now Open
Fall 2024 Kindergarten Registration is now open. Existing PreK families (including partner PreK) register by going into their PowerSchool Account. Any students new to BSD register by going into the regular pre-registration portal. The deadline to register is April 1, 2024. Read this flyer for information about upcoming school visits.
